Sept. 4, Mother Teresa Canonization Mass and Service Project at Mother Teresa Catholic School (Liberty Twp., OH), 11 am. Archbishop Dennis Schnurr will celebrate Mass in honor of the school patron’s canonization; following Mass attendees can decorate ceramic bowls to be sold as a fundraiser by Empty Bowls of Bultler County. Sept. 4, Family Rosary Walk and Dinner at Transfiguration Center (Ludlow Falls, OH), 4-7 pm. Invite the whole family and come away to a “beautiful place” for a unique rosary experience beginning at at the statue of Mary (goldfish pond), followed by a procession through the gardens and woods of the beautiful Lange Estate. Sept. 6, Cincinnati Metropolitan Orchestra Summer Concert Series Finale at Tower Park (Ft. Thomas, KY), 7 pm. The finale to the CMO’s “New York New York – Spotlight on Broadway” 2016 Summer Series, the concert will highlight 70 years of musical theater, from Oklahoma to Disney movie-turned musical Frozen., and will feature the CMO Chorus No fee. Teresa of Calcutta and Faustina Guild invites all to its first informational meeting. Sept. 9, National Day of Prayer for Peace. USCCB President Archbishop Joseph Kurtz has called for a day of peace in response to racially charged violence in our country.
Sept. 9, Diocese of Covington Day of Prayer and Penance for Peace. All churches will be open for private prayer; students in all Catholic schools will pray the rosary at the same time; parishes will hold Eucharistic Adoration. At 7 pm Bishop Foys will preside at a Holy Hour for Peace at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption. All welcome.

Sept. 10, National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children Observation at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (Cincinnati), 9:30 am. For the second year, Bishop Joe Binzer will lead prayer in a ceremony sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, who contributed the cemetery’s memorial to the unborn dead. One of dozens of ceremonies around the country; all welcome.
