Su Casa Dinner Next Thursday
The Most Reverend Alvaro Ramazzini Imeri, Bishop of San Marcos, Guatemala, will be the keynote speaker next Thursday at Su Casa’s Annual Awards Dinner and Silent Auction.
Bishop Ramazzini is a leading voice for the poor in his region.
May 10 banquet at Xavier Univeristy’s Cintas Center will feature Latin American cuisine, and the center’s annual awards.
Sr. Mary Wendeln, CPPS, will receive the Cesar Chavez Award. LULAC (National) will receive the Organization of the Year Award, and the Volunteer of the Year Award will go to Bond Elam.
Organizers say Silent Auction prizes include a stay in Cancun and Cincinnati Reds tickets. New this year is “Fund a Need,” which enables you to give your donation to a specific program at the center. The May 10 event begins with a reception at 6 pm; dinner is at 7 pm.

The Su Casa Hispanic Center is part of the “New Americans” initiative of Catholic Charities SW Ohio. The Center provides a wide array of services to the Hispanic/Latino immigrant community in Greater Cincinnati and helps them become an integral part of our community.
