Yard work, painting, card making, and other volunteer projects are on the Sisters of Charity’s wish list for two Days of Service this month.

In celebration of the Year of Consecrated Life, the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati invite all to join them in service to others on two “Days of Service” this month.

On Saturday, June 13, and Friday, June 19, volunteers will be able to work at a variety of local organizations and schools doing yard work, weeding, demolition work, painting, gardening, and leading arts and crafts activities from 9 am – noon.

Volunteer sites include:

College Hill homes (weeding, demolition, yard work)
Working in Neighborhoods (renovations)
Resurrection School (painting, weeding, cleaning)
St. William School (painting)
Sisters of Charity (making cards)
Price Hill Pacer Race June 13 (a variety of race positions)
EarthConnection (weeding)
Hillside Community Garden (weeding)

Following the morning service work, volunteers can return to the Sisters’ Motherhouse at Mount St. Joseph for a free lunch.

Volunteers are welcome for one day or both days. For more information or to sign up for a location, go to SignUpGenius and call the Sisters’ Communications Office at (513) 347-5447.

“The Days of Service and Mission offer families and adults the opportunity to learn more about religious life today and develop new and lasting relationships,” say the Sisters. “Please consider taking some time from your busy schedule to work side by side with our Sisters. Let’s wake up the world by living differently, living with passion, and living with purpose!”
