  1. is the altar still there? If it is, then it remains an official Church by Canon Law.

    • No, the altar was moved. I don’t know where, does anyone else?. But — perhaps a priest can chime in here? — AFAIK a large altar can remain in a church as long as some essential parts of it are removed.
