Students at St. Aloysius Gonzaga School (Bridgetown, OH) participated in a “sweet” national project this fall. Operation Gratitude lets children (and adults) send Halloween candy to soldiers overseas while they learn about Veterans Day at home. Students from kindergarten through eighth grade brought candy to school — along with  toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, and hand-written cards and letters.
