When Roger Bacon High School’s varsity basketball team headed to state for the second time in three years yesterday, St. Bernard closed Vine Street briefly for an outdoor “hype circle” before a pep rally and send-off in the school sponsored the Franciscan Friars, St. John the Baptist Province. Students cheered “We are RB!” and the band’s drummers played from the hillside. RB plays Lima Central Catholic today at 2 pm in the state semi-finals.
