Photo: McAuley Sudents Fund Honor Flight
Members of the McAuley High School (College Hill/Cincinnati) Philanthropy Club collected more than $1700 from fellow students for Honor Flight Tri-State, which flies World War II veterans to Washington, DC, to visit the war memorials without charge. McAuley was one of numerous local Catholic and public high schools that raised money for local charities through the Magnified Giving philanthropy program.
Magnified Giving works with Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Central and Northeast Ohio schools to help students learn to identify, evaluate, and donate to non-profit organizations. The chosen charities receive $1000, and any other money the students raise. Schools present the checks at a spring awards ceremony.
