Rachael Waldman, who graduated from McAuley High School (College Hill/Cincinnati) this spring, with her mother, Carisa, at Machu Picchu on a trip to Peru led by McAuely teacher Greg Niehaus last month.

McAuley teacher Greg Niehaus led school community members on the trip of a lifetime to Peru last month, visiting Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, and the Amazon River. “From the shores of the Pacific Ocean to the banks of Lake Titicaca in Puno and the wilds of the Amazon, we immersed ourselves in the rich history and natural splendor of Peru,” he said. This land has been home to some of the world’s most ancient civilizations. Having explored the Spanish Empire’s reign in Lima, we retraced the roots of the Inca Empire in Cuzco and at Machu Picchu, a destination like no other on Earth.”
