The Good Shepherd Catholic Montessori (GSCM) School welcomed Fr. Tom Hagan, founder of Hands Together, and Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and wife Fran to its annual Welcome Back Picnic this fall. GSCM has worked with Fr. Hagan’s ministry to children in Haiti for several years.

“It was good for our students and parents to hear first-hand from Fr. Tom,” said GSCM Principal Dan Teller.

Each January during Catholic Schools Week, students at GSCM bring in money for Hands Together during their Penny War competition. This fall students wrote letters to Haitian students ,which the DeWines will deliver to the Becky DeWine School in Haiti.  They will help form a bridge between Cincinnati and Port au Prince and give the Haitian students an opportunity to practice their English language reading skills.
