Marlin Art of New York will auction more than 150 works of art and memorabilia at a wine tasting and art auction May 2nd at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School in Milford (OH).

Sponsored by the Father John J. Wenzel, SJ,. Knights of Columbus Council # 10003, the auction will benefit the Council’s programs on Church, family, youth, community, and establishing a Culture of Life.

Prices for the works will be set at one third to one half below gallery prices. Each piece will be presented, explained, and auctioned “in a professional manner that will be appreciated by both gallery collectors and art novices,” organizers say.

The exhibition and auction kicks off at 6:15 pm with wine tasting and hors d’oevres, accompanied by live music. Bidding will begin at 7:30 pm.

The works for sale will be listed at Marlinarts.com under auction number 64164 so that people who cannot attend can bid in advance; the auction company says works will include pieces by artists such as Picasso, Wyeth, Kinkade, and Rothenberg, as well as sports memorabilia and home collectibles.

“We are delighted to present such a distinguished collection of art,” says Robert Brookens, Sr., chairman of the event. “We will have something for everyone’s taste and price range.”

Tickets are $15; please reserve in advance so that organizers can plan for wine and food. For information or reservations, call (513) 575-9136.
