Girls at last year’s Annunciation Summerfest. The evening family festival returns tonight with music by Soul Pocket, a petting zoo, the Cincinnati Circus Co, chicken dinners, and more.

The Feast of the Sacred Heart, a family festival in Clifton’s Gaslight district, a Lebanese festival, the annual Global Relay for priests… and that’s just som of what’s this weekend! Catholics events this week:

June 12, Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Mass with Sacred Heart Radio at St. Gertrude Church and Priory (Madeira, OH), 11:30 am. Join the Son Rise Morning show and Sacred Heart Radio crew for their annual patronal Mass. Fr. André-Joseph LaCasse, OP, will celebrate; reception follows.

June 12, Summerfest at Annunciation Parish (Clifton), 6 – 11 pm. Music by Soul Pocket, petting zoo 6 – dusk, entertainment by the Cincinnati Circus Co., chicken dinner, more. A family festival  in Clifton’s Gaslight District.

June 12, Annual Global Rosary Relay for Priests at St. Patrick Shrine (Taylor Mill, KY) 7:30 pm.  Pray the Rosary with St. Patrick Shrine on the Feast of the Sacred Heart and participate in a 24-hour global rosary relay.  For more information contact Coleen Hamilton at (859) 356-5151 ext. 10 or email stpatsemail@fuse.net. June 13, St. Antoninus Church (Covedale/Cincinnati) Holy Name Society Meeting, 6:30 am. All men are invited to join this newly revived organization aimed at helping them be better Catholics, better men, and defenders of the faith. Coffee and donuts at 6:30, meeting at 7 featuring a talk on The Role of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Evangelizing by Jeff Stephens, Mass at 8 (optional).

June 13, Rededication of Rachel Statue at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 11 am. Bishop Joe Binzer will bless and re-dedicate the cemetery’s copy of “Rachel Mourning for Her Children,” a statue commemorating victims of abortion and their mothers. Right to Life of Cincinnati Executive Director and Son Rise Morning Show regular Paula Westwood will speak. Donated to the cemetery by a Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the Knights of Columbus in 1998, the statue is one of five monuments with that theme placed by the K of C in our area. Fourth Degree Knights and many pro-life leaders will attend the one-hour ceremony that will include praying the rosary. Reception follows; all welcome.

June 13, Emergency Rosary Crusade opposite Kenwood Town Centre (Kenwood/Cincinnati), noon. The Cincinnati chapter of America Needs Fatima will hold this half-hour event to pray for marriage and family as the Supreme Court continues deliberating on six cases regarding “same-sex marriage.” Gather in the parking lot across from the Kenwood Movie Theatres.

June 14, Su Casa Hispanic Center Health Fair, 7 am – 6 pm. More than 20 healthcare providers will offer free mammograms, pap smears, prostrate screenings, glucose and blood pressure tests, and dental checks, along with other health care screenings. Su Casa and the health fair are sponsored by Catholic Charities Southwestern Ohio.

June 14, Knights of Columbus “Paddle Party” fundraiser at St. Dominic Church (Delhi, OH), 1 – 4 pm. Supports the International Mission for Children. For information call 513.482.0963.

June 14, St. Anthony of Padua Mahrajan Lebanese Festival (Walnut Hills/Cincinnati), noon – 8 pm. The area’s only Maronite parish celebrates its Lebanese heritage with food, entertainment, children’s games, raflles, more.
