Speaker, singer, songwriter, and Steubenville favorite Chris Padgett will lead two seminars, including the youth seminar for the annual Presentation Ministries Bible Institute. which begins today.

TWO pro-life bike rides, a nation-wide rally against Planned Parenthood, an annual Bible conference, more: Some Catholic events this week:

July 20-22, Love in Action Worship and Evangelization Retreat at the Presentation Ministries Paul Jansen Discipleship Center (Peebles, OH). Come before the Bible Institute or for the retreat alone. For information or reservations call (937) 587-5464.

July 24-Aug. 1, Annual Presentation Ministries Bible Institute at Xavier University. Several tracks and programs; youth seminar; weekend seminars July 24-25 and July 31-Aug. 1; daily Mass, Confession, and other liturgies; guest speakers include Bill Reichart, Deacon Ralph Poyo, local priests Fr. Rob Jack and Fr. Dave Endres; many other local and visiting speakers and priests including Fr. Chris Clay. Chris Padgett will present the July 31 day-long youth seminar; Bishop Joe Binzer will celebrate one of the Masses. Wide range of topics, some presented over multiple days, including prophecy, leadership, St. Faustina, intercessory prayer, more. Founded by the late Fr. Al Lauer. Pay what you can. July 25, TK Hausfeld Ride for Life, Dayton (OH), 8 am. Ride through the Five Rivers Metroparks Bike Trails, choose distances of 6, 13, 21, 33, 50, 63 and 100 miles. Live music, food, raffles, door prizes, more. Tour the Life Enrichment Center Bike Shoppe and Dayton Right to Life (beside the tral) from 10 am – noon. $25 individual riders; $45 tandem; $20/each family or group. June 25, NightFever at St. Louis Church (Cincinnati), 7 pm. Church doors will be open to all for Adoration, Confession, more. Begun in Germany after World Youth Day 2005, this tradition has spread to churches throughout Europe.

July 26, Feast of St. Joachim and Ann and Conclusion of 126th Annual Novena to St. Ann Celebration at  St. Ann Church (Covington). 7 pm Novena prayers; 7:15 pm Mass; reception follows. Fr. July 28, Women Betrayed Rally at Planned Parenthood (Mt. Auburn/Cincinnati), noon. Cincinnati is one of 50 cities participating in this simultaneous rally aimed at defunding the abortion giant because of recent revelations that selling organs and tissue from aborted babies is part of its national business model. MC: Anna Mitchell of the Son Rise Morning Show. Representatives of about 20 pro-life groups will join national sponsors Students for Life of America and a coalition of other groups in this one-hour rally; all welcome. July 31-Aug. 2nd, UD2ND Ride for Life. Annual bicycle ride from the University of Dayton to Notre Dame. Sponsored by UD, Cedarville University, Catholic Central High School, and Minster High School. Proceeds benefit Dayton Right to Life. Registration includes overnight accommodations, two meals a day, bike mechanic, more. Sendoff celebration at UD’s River Campus includes invocation by Fr. Greg Konerman; speech by  Coach Mike Kelly;  National Anthem: Dr. Willie Morris. Return Reception includes talk by UD President Dr. Dan Curran; food from W.G. Grinders; Music by Nick Cardilino.
