Through July 23, “The Life of Mary in Image and Word” at the University of Dayton (OH) Roesch Library. Various artists and art forms interpret scenes from Mary’s life. July 15-17, “Laudato Si” Retreat at Our Lady of Guadalupe Discipleship Center (Peebles, OH). Sponsored by Presentation Ministires. Dr. Richard Gosser will present this retreat based on Pope Francis’s encyclical about the indivisible unity of the physical and social aspects of the environment. No fee; free will offering accepted. July 15-17, SchÜtzenfest at Kolping Center. Started in 1866, the shooting contest and festival for the Cincinnati chapter of the international Kolping Society for Catholic families will feature German foods and beers, dancing, music, and on Sunday afternoon, the shooting contest to determine the annual Schutzenfest King. Christian Moerlein has created a special beer for the 150th anniversary. For information see the festival Facebook page.

July 16, Vivian’s Victory 5K and One-Mile Family Victory Lap at Blue Ash Summit Park (Blue Ash, OH). Benefits families who have received a poor prenatal diagnosis. Race time: 9 am.
