The Catholic publisher of education materials will keep its name and Cincinnati corporate office, according to a press release from Kendall Hunt, which specializes in science, math and “gifted” materials. The family-owned company was originally part of William C. Brown, a Catholic publisher that started in Chicago in the 1970s. Its educational and faith formation offerings include school and parish formation books, CDs,and electronic resources including the “Faith First” and “Be My Disciples” lines.
“Passion is key in K-12 education. At Kendall Hunt, our customers are passionate about their curriculum and looking for new, innovative ways to teach today’s youth,” said Kendall Hunt Publishing President and Chief Operating Officer Chad Chandlee.
“This acquisition will allow both Kendall Hunt and RCL Benziger to explore intelligent ways to integrate new products and services into our curricula. Both companies have a rich, long-standing, positive reputation in the marketplace and the two coming together will better serve today’s customers.”
Peter M. Esposito, President of RCL Benziger, said the two companies have much in common. “Our legacy brands deliver highly engaging customer-centric content to their respected markets,” he said.
